Definitely the book for those who have non-con rape fantasies. Exceptionally well written it's absolutely engrossing. I'm almost finished with book 2 and I can say there are a lot of different kinks covered in this and it is very creative. This first novel does not have impact play (spanking, paddling, caning, etc) and I almost didn't miss it! I think its breathtaking that he was able to train her without it.One of the things I like best in BDSM books is when people just are themselves. So often the setting is a club with all the beautiful people, the submissive or slave is intentionally bratty just to get a punishment, and even if it is is non-con it is consensual non con. Don't get me wrong - I'm fine with that. But this book is just absolutely not apologetic. If he wants her he takes her - and he says so. What he enjoys he says he enjoys. She struggles inside her head with whats happening but there is no guilt scenario with him. The interesting thing to me was he never came off as mean or abusive. She never comes off as a victim. I never felt sorry for her or mad at him. That's some writing chops to be able to pull that off! Bravo!
Since this book truly does focus on training it is intense - like other reviewers noted whoever wrote this knows what he/she is talking about. The actions are believable and feel true to life. In particular the Sybian scenes and the Medical examination were multiple re-read chapters.
This one is a keeper - forget the fluff -- this is raw, elemental, and incredibly arousing.

While I could get into the story, it seems a bit far fetched that this woman, Eileen, didn't have any idea what she was marrying into. Even if it was a short dating, engagement, she should have some inkling that he was wanting a "sex slave" and not a wife. And it would have been nice if the book had continued versus being a second book.

Some parts of this book were very sexy and erotic, but there were parts that I had trouble with. I guess since it is supposed to be "reality", I expected some reality...and much of it was beyond. As fantasy, it was good. I did buy Vol.2...and had similar concerns with it. Example if someone is chained to the bed all night, what happens when they have to go to the bathroom? Reality sucks.
This is TPE at its finest. You won't find depth of character or world building in this book. What you will find is page after page of some of the most erotic humiliation and slave training I've ever read. Sizzling hot and ridiculous in its abundance, the sex scenes and dominance will have you one clicking book 2 before you finish book 1. It's kinky, it's bondage, it's sex slave training, and I'm giving it five stars because I couldn't put it down but be warned... If TPE and humiliation isn't your thing, this book will definitely offend.
Vitelli's book is a guilty pleasure, not a literary treasure but really quite well written for the genre. I found more arousing than many of these bodice rippers in that the arousal is centered in the paradox for the submissive of hating the pain and craving the control, the battle of the mind and the body's insistent response. I strongly agree with the reviewer here who finds all the hardware to be somewhat of a distraction, from the hands-on (cough, cough) approach. And yes, it does require significant suspension of belief that the heroine doesn't offer greater resistance she comes off as a little more numb skulled than I would like. But then, I'm not all that wild about the perfect Dom rich, handsome, suave, blah blah blah. Also agree that the serial nature of the story is kind of annoying. But all that said, I find it much more inspiring than, say, 'Brie Learns the Art of Submission', where the lass can't wait for her next come-uppance. I prefer the type of Dom who gets off on his extreme control of the submissive's pain as this series does, rather than the party girl who delights in it all.
This is not easy to review since I both liked and disliked the series of the Training of Eileen. As a general rule I try not to think much when reading Erotica but it was hard sometimes considering the drastic and sudden change to Eileen's life and how it was all decided without her.
Overall, considering it is an erotica, book the scenes were sexy though they did push limits. I think my pushing mine went too far with these stories. I found interesting the conscious intent in the training and the changes as well as Eileen's reluctant willingness.
I wish things had happen more slowly, i wish she could had kept a more functional life. But... I did continue with the story.
